Sarah Palin Rocks ABQ NM

John McCain
  • Sarah Palin
  • Now that brings terror to the black hearts of the leftist Liberal faction of the Democratic Party, which they 'Hijacked' years ago from all of the innocent hard working Democrats like my own parents and Grandparents.

Last week, we stopped by the MC headquarters and picked up tickets early for the Albuquerque Convention Center
  • the 6th of September. The computers went down so not enough tickets were available at the distribution points. Rules changed and no tickets were neccessary after that. Friends picked us up at a Smith's food store for the trip downtown. Last rally, we drove the Motor Home to the 2004 Convention for 'George W Bush'. I already see the angry stink eye from the leftist Liberals when I type his full name. My wife and I also celebrated our 40th anniversary on this day along with John McCain and Sarah Palin's Rally introduction to Albuquerque New Mexico.

We arrived early at 3:40 pm, to an almost filled parking garage top floor. A quick elevator ride to the ground level, a short walk to where everyone pointed as the 'end of the line', and began our wait. After a lot of time in the sun, we sent our wives to the shade of a tree lined wall. Slowly the line all swung over to get in the shade. Our wives motioned us to cross over to their, now popular, shady trees.

Across the street were the usual sign waving leftists. About a couple of dozen of them, including a 'set up' couple from VA, which their 'news media' described as about 100, as also usual for the media.

Eventually the line that had reformed around us started to move forward. Great thing, no hot sun and a lot closer to the entrance. We got in the door about 5:15 pm. Nice and cool. Passed quickly through security because we brought a minimum of personal items and the wives sat on some risers while my friend and I walked over to the floor area around a podium of sorts. Great move because it was where the microphones were located.

The crowd began to increase until a police dept friend estimated 8,000 plus people were in the Convention hall that he helps provide security for often. The security checks were fast and thourough. Wands were waved around us while we handheld our personal belongings like binoculars and cameras. No video camcorders allowed but cell phones were OK. No bottles of liquid allowed to be carried beyond the door, but were available inside. Signs had to be left and checked before being passed in the doors later.

About 6:00pm the first quick speaker was Steve Pierce, our State Representative now running for a seat in the US Senate against T. Udall, whom I mentioned in the prior post, comments. Steve Pierce was one of the founding members of the Prayer group for the US Congress. Steve led the 'Invocation' Prayer this night as well, praying for our Great Nation as it goes through it's time honored tradition of electing our new leader. Who happens to be by default, the leader of the Free World as well. Heather Wilson, the present US representative, defeated in the primaries by Steve Pierce when she ran for the Senate seat being vacated by Pete Dominici, the long running US Senator(Health reasons). Heather understandably gave a 'thumbs up' to McCain Pallin.

Darrin White, 82nd Airborne, NM State police officer, and head of the NM department of Public Safety, then our Bernallillo County Sheriff for the last 6 years is now running for Heathers vacated seat in The US House of Representatives. A lifetime devoted to Public Service, most everybody likes Darrin...the bad guys sure don't.

following that lineup was Robert Duval
  • the Hollywood actor making a film here in NM.
You may recall him from the hit TV mini-series Lonesome Dove
  • His wife accompanied him onstage. This is her first year to be allowed to vote as a citizen.

The music started with a local High School band. Competition winning local Cheer leaders, Boy Scout Honor Guard, young soloist singing Star Spangled Banner as the crowd joined in, and as the tempo picked up with louder recorded music from the hit metal/rock group 'Van Halen' and others. The excitement began to rise in the crowd. The huge US flag which was drapped from the ceiling, was raised and exposed a lighted 40 foot (12m)diesel motor home coach, 'The Straight Talk Express', parked in the hall and adorned with a banner of McCain-Palin.

As the doors of the coach opened, the din was unimaginable in the Convention hall. A crescendo of cheers rose from the wild enthusiastic crowd, and flags started to wave along with McCain-Palin signs. Some were even from Alaska and New Jersey. 'Democrats for McCain' signs were waving in a section of the surrounding seat risers. The families of McCain and Palin walked onto the stage runway pausing to reach out to the crowd along the rail. It took several minutes for the wildly exuberant crowd to settle down.

John walked to the microphone and announced Sarah's name and a few quick facts about her tough working man, husband Todd Palin
  • The commercial fisherman ('Deadliest Catch'?)
  • Actually I think he likes Salmon better. His Steel Worker Union history, His 'Snow Machine' racing exploits in the Alaskan 2000 mile Iron Dog
  • (3,218km) race, four time winner. The crowd went hyper wild at their mention. Sarah Palin, the present Governor of Alaska
  • (just across the Bering Strait from Russia
  • Siberia
  • then strode confidently forward and started to speak, identifying her husband Todd and her family of 'Real Americans'. (not the elitist type that 'Flyover' most of the country because they are in total disdain of it). Sarah's tough hard working family appeals to "White collar, Blue Collar and most of all 'Ring Around the Collar" which includes myself and our entire family.

Sarah spoke about John McCain and his dedication to service of the US citizens for all of his life, including his amazing miracle survival at the hands of the North Koreans in a little tiny POW cell. She said "They wanted to kill him but he wouldn't let them".
The crowd roared in approval. Sarah mentioned that the (Leftist Liberal) media refered to her as a small town mayor (which she once was) of Wasilla Alaska
  • rather than the Governor of Alaska. Sarah Palin, in her Barracuda style she is well known for, then said bluntly that Democratic Vice Presidential hopeful, "Biden's Delaware is smaller than a few city parks in Alaska". Sarah shoud know, she flies over them in her families classic Piper Cub PA 18
  • with floats often enough as a member of the AOPA

  • 'Sarah Barracuda, Go Get em', was on a big hand made sign, held up by people in front of us. 'Drill Now', was on many signs waved. Robert Duval even took one from a supporter and waved it in front of the camera. 'Read My Lipstick' was another sign and of course the difference between a hockey Mom and a Bulldog 'The Lipstick'. 'We love Sarah', was everywhere of course with a big red heart pasted in the middle.

As the Republican presidential candidate, John McCain took his place at the microphone, Sarah stepped back. John told of his plans for the presidency, which everyone knows by now. Some of which I do not approve of. Of course a perfect world would be one with only my wishes and desires being fulfilled. Not gonna happen that way of course. The main thing is that I do not want OB as my Commander In Chief. I also have known about Biden for a long time and I want to keep my guns, thank you. Maybe Delaware would even change it's mind if it were a Mexican Border State?

We have heard all of the pro's and con's of both candidates by now. Sarah and Todd's NRA
  • membership is a big YES for me and a 'no-no' to the Leftists Liberals. (they don't want an armed populace when they strangle the citizens of the USA) The election will be interesting to say the least. As a younger working man, I was always too busy to pay much attention to the elections taking place. Now that I know what can happen when the wrong candidate gets into the highest office in the land, I view them a little differently.

Jimmy Carter, our 1970's Democrat President, "Bless His Heart", caused my young family a serious setback. We drove cars with over 100,000 miles (161,000km) and they were our 'new' cars. I sold one when it reached 150,000 miles (241,400km). I bought a (new to us) replacement with 100,000 miles (161,000km) for our neccessary use. I could not afford anything else with double digit interest rates and inflation running at the same pace each of his disasterous years in office. That taught me a lesson in economics that I will never forget. Tax the Goose that lays the 'Golden Eggs' and guess who pays the tax.

After the short lively speeches, the candidates walked along the railing edge of the slightly raised stage, shaking hands and touching as many outstretched hands as possible. It reminded me of NBC's 'Jay Leno'. I could get no closer than about 12 feet (3.6m) to them. Todd Palin had the biggest smile that I ever saw. What a man, you can see it in his enthusiasm for his wife and her new career choice. I do not think he will like Washington DC
  • though. I'm sure he will spend more time in Alaska where he can at least trust a Grizzly Bear
  • to do exactly what it is naturally known to do.

Sarah Palin knew about her candidacy in Febuary and kept it all to herself, for the exact time to be released to the public. Finally someone who knows how to keep a secret from the packs of Wolves always circling our political figures, looking for any slight weakness, so they may be cut from the herd and used as 'meat' for the pack. Now I wonder how long 'the Pack' will stand by waiting for 'old man Biden' to suddenly announce his heretofor unforeseen 'Health Issues', forcing his resignation so Hilly and Billy can slither back in to help neophyte BHO to 'lead' the Democratic party to total control of the USA and universe?

As we left the Convention hall and worked our way back up to the car parked on the top floor of the garage, the numbers of people were realized. Many were recognised from our own church. Looking out over the city from our top floor, the traffic extended away in all directions. We had to wait a half hour for an opening to get out.

We were going out to dine for our 40th anniversery, but the late hour presented us with little choice, We decided to stop at 'Dion's, a little local pizza place we frequent at times and order a couple of small salads, sharing our evening anniversary meal with our friends.

Now that is a quiet way to celebrate 40 years of marriage and raising a great family. At least I did run to the store and get a bouquet of flowers for my wife, before we went to the Convention Hall. She still seems to like me in spite of my 'ways'. We share one thing, and that is the belief in Jesus Christ as our own personal Lord and Saviour. Nothing else is of any great importance on this earth, in this greatest Nation ever known, The United States of America, "One Nation Under God"

From one old 'Air America' buddy in Alaska to another -
    actually sent to someone else, but Cc'ed to me from another Net jet Pilot friend, so I used it as a comment;

And this from an Alaska man who is a very serious cynic about all things political ,here is my take on Sara.

I met and spoke with Sara Palin about two years ago at our downtown Park Strip. It is a place for walking, carnivals, political outdoor things and such. She was cooking hotdogs at a fund raiser and introducing herself to the public as a Governor hopeful.

She came by and said the usual 'Hi, I'm Sara Palin and I am running for Governor'...and I expected her to keep on to the next person but she asked me who I was and what I did in Alaska and we ended up talking for 15 minutes about me, Air America (she was all
a-gog!) and my career in the Army and AAM. She is a pilot (Super
Cub) I'm told although all she told me about that was that she
    loved flying. (float plane?)

As I watched her over the next six months, as she successfully ran for Governor I was really impressed. I was impressed greatly even before that after she resigned a good position (Alaska Gas and Oil Regulatory Commission) because a fellow Commission member (Chair of the Alaska Republican Party) misused their office and position.

He was using the FAX, computers, printing room and all to
promote the Republican endeavors while in a State job. That is a
    huge no-no in any government
    employment position.

She resigned and made her point and within weeks Randy Ruderich (the above bad guy) found himself out on the street and a subsequent
investigation found him guilty and he was fined $12,000. Small
change actually but a giant point was made.

Next she went after our most horrible Governor ever, Governor
Murkowski, and damned if she didn't beat him! All of us here in
Alaska, except the Democrats, are sick of our State's corruption.
That fact was shouted to the heavens after she was elected with an overwhelming point spread.

After she got into office she started after corrupt legislators and with the FBI's help, we've put four of them in prison, indicted six more and the 'Corrupt Bastard's Club' as they arrogantly called themselves (even had hats made with CBC on the front!) suddenly found it no fun anymore. Club membership is now in the
    toilet!!

The current flap which has cost her a ten point loss of popularity
(she's still 82%!) was over firing a popular Commissioner of
Public Safety who is responsible for our Alaska State Troopers.
She fired him for no STATED reason which was her prerogative as
the Gov. He served entirely at her option. She and her whole
family had a bad, bad experience with a rogue Trooper who was
    married to Sara's sister.

His name is Trooper Wooten. This dimwit Trooper had threatened Sara's father (death threat!).
He also threatened Sara ('I'll get you too'), tasered his 12 year old
stepson, drove drunk in his AST cruiser, got a pass by a fellow
Trooper who stopped him for erratic driving a second
time while in civies and just a host of other things not yet
    released to the public.

He got away with it all and got another pass by the Commissioner's appointed AST Trooper Internal Affairs investigator, with a tiny slap on the wrist. Five days off without pay to be exact!!

This maverick Trooper is still on the payroll but only 'just'. The Union intervening saved his malcontent ass. He'll yet get his, I'm sure. Incredible heat is being heaped on the Troopers. Public heat, not the Governors office.

The Democrats had the audacity to appoint an obviously biased
investigator, Rep. 'Gunny' French (so called because he lied about
being in the USMC while running for the Legislature) is a staunch
liberal and under the orders of Senate President Lyda Green who
hates Sara. She hates Sara because after being elected Governor.

Sara told the whole Legislature in one of her first meetings with
them that, quote; "All of you here. need some Adult
Supervision!!!". Sara was seriously angry and not afraid of
    anyone there.

That played wonderfully well with Alaskan's after all of our corruption and after all of her successful battles against
a seriously entrenched, corrupt government here in Alaska. It
angered the whole Legislature though! They have stayed angry
but also afraid of her because of her popularity.

She reminds me personally of our Alaska Wolverine which will fight
anything in it's path if it see's fit to do so. No respect at all
    for size or position.

In closing I must tell you that she is the best, most moral and most focused leader I've seen since President Reagan. I feel, really strongly, that like Alaska, the rest of our country will love her within a few weeks.

Put simply, she represents middle America like NO leader we've ever had. I think McCain made a totally brilliant move in choosing her. She's a maverick who is probably tougher and more focused than McCain himself....and she won't be a total 'Yes Man' or more appropriately, woman. McCain will love
    her.

In 2012 she will be the US President.

My best to all of you in the hurricane belt. I hope you are all OK. We just had another mini-Air America reunion here in beautiful
Soldotna, Alaska along the Kenai river. We'll be doing this every
year now I guess. Like our Flying Tiger pal's before us, there are
not that many Air America guys left. I'm 71 myself this September
    16. Where the hell did the years go so fast?

    My best ,Semper Fi.

    Sent by a pilot out of Texas;
One of our good friends, Eddie Spalten from San Antonio , fishes at the Wildman Lodge on the Alaskan Peninsula . The lodge is owned by Butch and Kathy Wildman. The Wildmans spend their winters in Texas and their Summers in Alaska . Kathy's father and her ex-husband served in the Alaskan legislature for around 30 years so Butch and Kathy know Alaska politics. Eddie emailed Butch and asked Butch what the Wildmans think of Gov.
Sarah Palin. Butch's unedited email is attached below. Please read it and forward it to your friends. This is what the citizens of Alaska thinks
    of Sarah Palin!

    Subject: Who is Sarah

    Hi Eddie:
Fishing is good here at Wildman and I rarely have time for politics, but many of our friends are asking us "Who is Sarah Palin?" Of course, as Alaskans, Kathy and I are extremely proud of her.
We just want to let You know that Sarah "Barracuda" Palin is a straight shooting, hard charging, get it done gal. She knows when to listen, how to analyze the
facts and how to make a decision, then implement the plan. She doesn't do a poll before jumping in with both feet like too many of the Washington types.

She has little legislative experience because she has always held the EXECUTIVE position; in private life, as mayor of Anchorage's largest bedroom community and more recently as Governor of our State.
    She is a
smart, attractive home grown Alaska girl with excellent moral and family values. She can see what needs to be done and does not hesitate to get
    it done.

One of our State's major problems is that it's Capital is in Juneau , 500 miles from the nearest road and 800 air miles from the population base which is Anchorage , Wasilla and Fairbanks . Our legislature and most of the State government is in Juneau and they ALL behave like a bunch of freshmen in a college town. It has been this way since Statehood in 1959.

When Sarah moved to Juneau , so did accountability and responsibility.
When the oil revenue started flowing and a barrel of North Slope Crude hit $23.00, these people began spending money like drunken sailors. You can only imagine what was happenings when oil hit $100.00 a barrel; about the Time Sarah took command. My wife Kathy has first-hand experience with this fiasco, as her father and also her ex-husband were Alaska Legislators who served in Juneau as Senators, Senate President,or members of the State House for a combined period spanning nearly
    three decades.

About the time Sarah took the HELM as Governor of Alaska, about half of The State legislature was in the pocket of big oil companies or
contractors doing big projects for Native Corporations around Alaska ,
all funded by State oil revenue. Alaska government was nothing but a
good old boys Club riding the perpetual wave of prosperity. This
filtered down from the legislature, through the Department of Natural Resources, Department of Labor and even spilled into the Public Safety
who are supposed to "preserve and protect".

When Sarah walked into the Governor's Mansion, she promptly dismissed The State Trooper detachment assigned to the Governor and had her and
her husband's gun case brought in from Wasilla. Then, she got rid of the former Governor's STATE Jet and told legislators that there were no more free rides, they would have to fly Alaska Airlines, just like her and her family if they wanted to travel. Next came the nut cutting (the Barracuda
part) the heads that rolled were too numerous to name, but when Sarah finished cleaning house, a number of our legislators ended up in jail on corruption charges, or tendered their resignations along with numerous department heads and those who have been riding the gravy train for way too long, AND THEN SHE HAD LUNCH.

By the end of the day, Sarah Palin had saved the people of Alaska millions and has not yet slowed down.

She has truly brought CHANGE to Juneau . I personally know several
Persons in the private sector in Alaska , that hold her in high esteem. She surrounds herself with smart people, many from my hometown of Anchorage , she listens to them but makes her own decisions. Sarah Palin
is a no B.S. politician. It is refreshing that there is such a thing anymore.

You want to talk about CHANGE? You should see a before and after
picture of the State government in Alaska . That's CHANGE! Sarah will bring a number Of things to the election. I am sure she will appeal to many voters who may otherwise could have gone the other direction on election day. The conservative block will not be for Barack.

We have their vote. We need what Sarah will bring, first to the election and second, what she will bring to Washington D.C. McCain has been advised well, Let's just hope the American people can get the straight scoop on her in the weeks ahead.

This is just the opinion of one Alaska Bush Pilot and Guide, who pays attention to national politics, watches the news and is deathly afraid of the direction our nation is headed. I guarantee that if Sarah gets a chance to dig her spurs into the flanks of the liberal Washington types, they will know that she is in the saddle.

Strangest thing, well not really. I have just returned from one of a number of liberal leftist blogs originating in Europe. The entire blog comment thread is about Sarah Palin. All extremely negative, filled with distortions and non-truths and containing links to countless extremely leftist websites. The NYT was referenced often as if it were a manifesto of sorts. Interestingly, all of the comments were in American style English. Is the entire world against our choice here in the USA, of a conservtive Christian 'Vice President'. Or is there a concerted and organised effort to control our election process by disseminating false information about our candidates? If so, this could possibly be a portent of things to come. Things outlined in the book of Ezekiel 38. Read 'Epicenter' by Joel C. Rosenberg.

Feminist Army Aims Its Cannons at Palin
    Jonah Goldberg
    Friday, September 12, 2008

Whether or not Sarah Palin helps John McCain win the election, her greatest work may already be behind her. She's exposed the feminist con job.

Don't take my word for it. Feminists have been screaming like stuck pigs 24/7 since Palin was announced as McCain's running mate. (Are pig metaphors completely verboten now?)

Feminist author Cintra Wilson writes in 'Salon' (a house organ of the angry left) that; "The notion of Palin as vice president is akin to ideological brain rape."

Presumably just before the nurse upped the dosage on her medication, Wilson continued,

"Sarah Palin and her virtual burqa have me and my friends retching into our handbags. She's such a power-mad, backwater beauty-pageant casualty, it's easy to write her off and make fun of her. But in reality I feel as horrified as a ghetto Jew watching the rise of National Socialism."

And that's one of the nicer things she had to say. Really.

    On Tuesday, Salon ran one article calling Palin;

A dominatrix ("a whip-wielding mistress") and another labeling her a sexually repressed fundamentalist no different from the Muslim fanatics and terrorists of Hamas.

Make up your minds, folks. Is she a seductress or a sex-a-phobe?

But this, any-weapon-near-to-hand approach, is an obvious sign of how scared the Palin-o-phobes are.

    Gloria Steinem, the grand mufti of feminism, issued a fatwa anathematizing Palin. A National Organization for Women spokeswoman proclaimed;

"Palin more of a man than a woman. Wendy Doniger, a feminist academic at the University of Chicago , writes of Palin in Newsweek: "Her greatest hypocrisy is in her pretense that she is a woman."

It's funny. The left has been whining about having their patriotism questioned for so long it feels like they started griping in the Mesozoic era. Feminists have argued for decades that womanhood is an existential and metaphysical state of enlightenment. But they have no problem questioning whether women they hate are really women at all.

Since we know from basic science that Palin is a woman - she's had five kids, for starters - it's clear that these ideological thugs aren't talking about actual, you know, facts. They're doing what people of totalitarian mind-sets always do: bully heretics, demonize enemies, whip the troops into line.

The academic feminist left has scared the dickens out of mainstream men and women for so long, the liberal establishment is terrified to contradict feminists, nigh-upon-theological, conviction that female authenticity is measured by one's blind loyalty to left-wing talking points.

This is a version of the Marxist doctrine of "false consciousness," which holds that you aren't an authentic member of the Proletariat unless you agree with Marxism.

It works like this: If you don't agree with feminist scolds, you're not a real woman, even if you're a very feminine working mom. But even if you're an actual man - never mind a childless feminist who looks like a Bulgarian weightlifter in drag - you're a "real woman" solely because you nod your head like a windup clapping monkey every time you read the latest editorial in 'Ms'. Recall how they christened Bill Clinton the "first female president," too.

    But here's the fun part.
Feminists are hooked on their own Kool-Aid; they actually believe the stuff they say. The shrill, angry women you see on MSNBC claiming to speak for all women actually think they do. But they don't. They speak for a few left-leaning women in faculty lounges, editorial boardrooms and that's about it.

Mainstream liberals have been in captivity for so long, eagerly accepting their ritual beatings, that they've gotten Stockholm Syndrome and convinced themselves that Gloria Steinem and Co. are the authentic voices of women everywhere.

    Stop laughing.

The reality is that there is an actual reality out there, and it doesn't look anything like what feminists see beyond the rims of their ideological blinders.

    For instance,
immediately after the Palin announcement, the priestesses not only ruled it "sexist" for McCain to pick a woman but also said it was strategically dumb - "insulting to women!" - to think any real women would switch support from the beatified Obama to that old devil McCain.

Well, according to a Washington Post/ABC News poll, there's been a 20-point swing among white women from Obama-Biden to McCain-Palin. Did this "ideological brain rape" suddenly induce an epidemic of false consciousness?

Of course not. Nor are women mindlessly switching loyalties because there's a woman on the ticket. What the Palin pick has demonstrated, however, is that the Feminist-Industrial Complex is a fraud. Disagreeing with self-described feminists doesn't mean you're anti-woman. Usually it just means you're sensible.

And for that lesson alone, we should all be grateful.

One of Them and One of Us

    Patrick Buchanan

One wonders: What did Sarah Palin ever do to inspire the rage and bile that exploded on her selection by John McCain? What is there either in this woman's record or resume to elicit such feline ferocity?

What did we know of her when she was introduced?

That she was a mother of five who had brought into this world a baby boy with Down syndrome, thus living her Christian beliefs. That she was a small-town conservative who had risen from mayor of Wasilla (Pop. 9,700) to be governor of a state twice the size of Texas.

That she was a reformer who had dethroned an Old Boys' Network by dumping a sitting Republican governor. That she had taken on Big Oil, taxed the companies and returned the money in $1,200 checks to every citizen of Alaska. And that she had cut a deal with Canada to build a pipeline to bring natural gas to her fellow Americans.

And, oh, yes. She was "Sarah Barracuda" -- a fierce high school athlete, a runner-up in the Miss Alaska pageant, a Feminist for Life and lifetime member of the NRA. Introduced by McCain, she praised Hillary Clinton and pledged to finish her work by smashing through the glass ceiling in which Hillary had made 18 million cracks.

What, in any or all of this, is there to justify the feral attacks within minutes of her introduction? What had she done to cause this outburst? Answer: absolutely nothing.

No. Sarah Palin is not resented for what she has done, but for who she is: a Christian conservative who believes unborn children are gifts of God, even those with birth defects, and have a God-given right to life.

Normally, the press is reluctant to rummage into the private lives of public servants, unless their conduct affects their duties or they preach virtues they hypocritically do not practice.

Yet, no sooner was Palin introduced, than the media went berserk over the news that her 17-year-old daughter is pregnant. As one in three births in America is out-of-wedlock and Hollywood celebrates this lifestyle, why did The New York Times and The Washington Post splash this "news" on page one above the fold?

How does Bristol Palin's pregnancy disqualify Sarah Palin to be vice president? Why is it even relevant?

They did it because they thought it would damage Sarah Palin in the eyes of a Christian community they do not comprehend.

So out of bounds was the media that Obama, in an act of decency, declared Palin's family off limits and reminded the media that he was himself born to a teenage single mom.

If one would wish to see the famous liberal double standard on naked display, consider.

Palin's daughter was fair game for a media that refused to look into reports that John Edwards, a Democratic candidate for president, was conducting an illicit affair with a woman said to be carrying his child and cheating on his faithful wife Elizabeth, who has incurable cancer. That was not a legitimate story, but Bristol Palin's pregnancy is?

Why did the selection of Sarah Palin cause a suspension of all standards and a near riot among a media that has been so in the tank for Barack even "Saturday Night Live" has satirized the infatuation?

Because she is one of us -- and he is one of them.

Barack and Michelle are affirmative action, Princeton, Columbia, Harvard Law. She is public schools and Idaho State. Barack was a Saul Alinsky social worker who rustled up food stamps. Sarah Palin kills her own food.

Michelle has a $300,000-a-year sinecure doing PR for a Chicago hospital. Todd Palin is a union steelworker who augments his income working vacations on the North Slope. Sarah has always been proud to be an American. Michelle was never proud of America -- until Barack started winning.

Barack has zero experience as an executive. Sarah ran her own little fishing fleet, was mayor for six years and runs the largest state in the union. She belongs to a mainstream Christian church. Barack was, for 15 years, a parishioner at Trinity United and had his daughters baptized by Pastor Jeremiah Wright, whose sermons are saturated in black-power, anti-white racism and anti-Americanism.

Sarah is a rebel. Obama has been a go-along, get-along cog in the Daley Machine. She is Middle America. Barack, behind closed doors in San Francisco, mocked Middle Americans as folks left behind by the global economy who cling bitterly to their Bibles, bigotries and guns.

Barack has zero foreign policy experience. Palin runs a state that is home to anti-missile, missile and air defense bases facing the Far East, commands the Alaska National Guard and has a soldier-son heading for Iraq.

Barack, says the National Journal, has the most left-wing voting record in the Senate, besting Socialist Bernie Sanders.

Palin's stances read as though they were lifted from Reagan's 1980 "no pale pastels" platform. And this is what this media firestorm is all about.

    Great Spoof Mesa Mike, thanks for the link;
The Leftists along with their vast, brain washed Main Stream Media followers, are pulling out all of the stops and attacking Sarah and her little family with every trick they have at their disposal, which is an immense 'Disposall'. The number one fact that she and her family are Christians and is an average functional family, is a bad omen to be destroyed by the Leftists. They live with so many variables and factions in their world. The left has an 'abortion' faction, an 'anti-christian' faction, a 'you are your own god' (there are no absolutes) faction, a 'disfunctional is OK' faction, a 'wellfare for all' faction, a 'disarm the citizens' faction, (neccessary to force their rules on the Citizens, 'us'), a 'non-real-job' faction, a 'work as little as possible' faction, a 'legalistics' faction, an 'it's somebody elses fault' faction, an 'elitist' faction, a 'non-war' faction, an 'anti-business' faction, a 'level all people' (share the wealth, communism) faction, a 'control the internet' faction, A 'gay men' faction, a Lesbian women' faction, an 'anti-Israel' faction, a 'fairness doctrine' faction that wants to force equal time to any unpopular viewpoints (such as theirs). I find diversity at every level except any diversity that dissagrees with their viewpoint. That disagreement causes them a rage that is immeasurable. Road rage, it is documented, seems 'dis-proportunately' to follow the number of leftist bumper stickers on the back of the instigators vehicle. Strangely, artistic leaning people seem to follow the leftists agenda more than the right wing for some reason. Being somewhat involved in 'The Arts' I find this overwhelmingly true. Hollywood and it's devoted followers is one huge example. Disfunctional people telling others how to live and vote?
Sarah is stuck with me for the long haul. I still have my Faith. I still wave our flag and honor our country, something that 'BHO' does not. 9-11 is still fresh in my memory.

Read what Australia has to say about Gov. Sarah Palin:
Governor Sarah Palin - an Australia perspective**************

IF only Sarah Palin were just some famous guy's wife.
Then, as with Hillary Clinton, the women's groups and activists could love and pet her like a victim.
But the Governor of Alaska has torn up the script. Confounded the simpering stereotype.

Here is a caribou-hunting, moose-gutting, corruption-busting, oil-drilling, anti-abortion, beauty-pageant queen whose husband's greatest claim to fame is to win the world's most famous race for snow machines.

Her power is entirely her own. And it's the equal of any man's.
No wonder she's unleashed the fury of the 'Castrated Left', which in fear has attacked her and her 17-year-old daughter with the vilest - and most misanthropic - smear campaign you'll have ever seen in politics.

And no wonder, too, that this mother of five has set alight a presidential race that seemed all but a done deal for Barack Obama.
See the electrifying power of a genuinely strong female politician. That is: a conservative one.

Only last Thursday Obama seemed to have sealed victory in the November 4 election to succeed George W Bush.

Already ahead in the polls, and with the buzz of a Messiah, he'd assembled the biggest-ever crowd - 86,000 - for a Democratic convention.

He'd also got the biggest-ever television audience for a convention 38 million - to watch him speak.
And he gave them a speech that commentators agreed was one to match the best of Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King.
Men trembled and women swooned. 'I cried my eyelashes off,' blubbered TV queen Oprah Winfrey. If words, not deeds, were the only measure of a politician, Obama had won already.

Yet 12 hours later it was all blown away. What happened? Republican candidate John McCain had simply announced his choice of running mate.
Normally a vice-presidential candidate makes little difference to a campaign. If George Bush Sr could win with a potato called Dan Quayle, and Bill Clinton with a fencepost called Al Gore, you'd figure the sidekick was about as crucial to victory as a fork to a funeral.
But McCain's pick of the all-but-unknown Sarah Palin, just 44, changed everything. With that one pick, McCain, himself a maverick, recast the election into a battle between heartland America and the urban elite.

He matched Obama's biography of hope with Palin's apple-pie own. He added youth to a ticket weighed down by his 72 years. He underlined Obama's inexperience and reframed the brilliant media orator as not the voice of change but of the Washington insider.
What's more, McCain baited a trap to catch out Obama as a man with a woman problem - the man who'd refused to appoint his defeated rival, Hillary Clinton, as his own running mate, preferring Senate blow-hard Joe Biden. Snap! Prey caught.

The Obama camp's first instinct was to patronise Palin as just a pretty face, mocking her as the former mayor of Wasilla, a mere suburb of Anchorage, cynically picked by McCain merely to woo disillusioned Clinton fans.

Jeered Obamas pokesman Bill Burton: 'Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency.'
It's a line picked up by most media commentators, who assumed a woman couldn't be politically experienced, even one who'd actually been governor of a US state for two years, giving her more executive experience than either Obama and Biden, neither of whom have run anything but their mouths.

Within hours Obama, for one, knew he'd made a mistake in belittling not just a woman but - even deadlier - a voice of small-town America.

He'd underestimated the former Miss Wasilla 1984 in a way he'd never have underestimated a man.
So he emerged within hours to excuse his campaign's first response as a case of tripping over 'hair triggers', and say what he really meant was that Palin 'seems like a compelling person' with 'obviously a terrific story, a personal story', and 'she will help make the case for the Republicans'.

Obama in fact knows Palin offers voters a life story at least as compelling as his own - and one that slots even neater into the great American dream.
After all, she is the wife of a half-Inuit professional fisherman and mother of five who became a mayor and then head of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, a job she quit after complaining that one of her fellow commissioners, the state's Republican chairman, was a crook. She was right and he was fined.
She then charged the state's attorney-general, another fellow Republican, with a breach of ethics. Again she was right and he was fired.
Then she tipped out the Republican governor in the primaries, and won the election to replace him, running against a former Democrat governor.
    Got the picture?
Tough lady, with a record of tackling the good ol' boys of even her own party. No doubt they thought she was just a pretty face, too, until she buried them.
Her reputation as a principled reformer has grown since she took office. She sold off the former governor's private jet plane, took on Big Oil over a contract to build a gas pipeline, slashed waste and now has approval ratings in the 80s.

Obama talks change, but outsider Palin actually represents it. And she represents it in the iconic Mrs Smith Goes to Washington way that fits so well with McCain's own record.
It's true she badly lacks experience, and is about to sit the exam of her life. Everything depends on her being the quick study she's said to be.
Should she stumble, McCain will be discredited as the gambler who picked a novice just to win an election, not help run a nation - although Palin's confident acceptance speech on Friday already showed she's no Dan Quayle, blinking nervously.
And there's one other advantage Palin has. Her critics, largely in the media, still underestimate her and, once again, underestimate her as a woman. How she's exposed the inner chauvinist of many of the Left, accustomed to thinking of female politicians as symbols, not individuals. Not experienced, they scoff.
But what experience has Obama had? Just two years older, his only job outside politics was as a community organiser, and since then he's been a state senator and - for just four years - a US senator, making speeches and planning his next campaign.

If Governor Palin isn't experienced enough to be vice-president, is Obama qualified for the biggest job of all? Or are there different rules for men?

More patronising: She's just a token woman, cry the critics, who assume that female politicians succeed best by appealing to female voters, when the very reverse tends to be true.
And, yes, Palin did say nice things about Hillary Clinton in her acceptance speech, hoping to peel off supporters embittered by Obama's refusal to make her his running mate.

But Palin - a huntin', fishin', fundamentalist Christian pro-lifer - isn't at all a magnet for feminist votes. She's more a man's woman whose strongest support - like that of Margaret Thatcher and even Pauline Hanson - will come from blue-collar white males and small-town conservatives.

Sneering attacks won't enrage women so much as confirm for many poorer white voters that Obama, the Harvard lawyer backed by the urban elites, is in fact sneering at them.
And if such voters need confirmation of Palin's status as the outsider tackling the Big City oinkers, they've had it in the bizarre attack launched against her this week.

Some of America's biggest Left-wing bloggers, especially the Obama-supported DAILY KOS, accused her of having pretended to be the mother of her fifth child, son Trig, born in April with Down syndrome after she refused to abort him.
The real mother, they hooted, was her 17-year-old daughter, Bristol. The evidence? Simply that Palin in some photographs taken before the birth did not look pregnant, but Bristol did.
Would any man have been attacked so personally, so viciously, on evidence so pathetic that I could disprove it on my own blog after just 30 minutes of searching the internet for pictures? This was almost literally a witch-hunt.

Yet so frenzied was the attack that Palin on Monday was forced to prove her four-month-old baby was indeed her own, issuing a statement saying Bristol was herself five months' pregnant, and planned to marry the father. Leave my girl alone.

It must have hurt, but once again Palin had triumphed over those who'd sought to destroy this uppity woman, this time by peeking up her skirts.

She showed herself as just a mother, doing her loving best, but also as a politician with more obvious principle than her sniggering critics.

She emerged strong, but human. Not a symbol, but very real. In fact, McCain may have picked the one politician who could help win him the election.
Should she succeed, watch out. This clearly isn't a woman happy to simply help another man be president.

Now that the 2008 election is over and the dust is settling (sort of) into 'the Mud', Congress now has it's own self perpetuating 'election machine' in the form of a congressionaly subsidised 'ACORN'. Amazing how it works. Give it money and it will get votes for you. Now who would have thought of that?

The Leftists attacks are still viciously swarming like 'killer bees' on the lowly commoner, Sarah Palin. She does not pose any threat to the President or Congress (yet?) but attack they must. Like a Drug Dealer's yard filled with Pitbulls, they keep on attacking.

Their own 'Leftist Controlled Media' is failing, (hard to sell 'manufactured news' to a suspicious public) and now wants to get a piece of the bailout that congress is passing around among 'The Worthy'.

'Car Czar' is one term now being mulled about to control the, newly government financed and owned, US auto industry. Is there going to also be a congressionaly controlled 'Media Czar'?
